Back to Basics

I think it’s rather obvious by now that I love a good monochromatic moment. This has long been my default when outfit styling feels a little overwhelming. However, today there was no rhyme or reason for choosing all one color. Other than the fact that I simply wanted to wear it. I feel like I so often try to explain myself or justify my outfit choices. But sometimes the answer is just because. Today, I’m going back to basics with a monochromatic look. Just because.

Today, simplicity is the name of the game. But even the simplest outfits could use a little oomph. While perfectly fun in monochrome, I’m adding some extra visual interest by introducing a bit of contrast. Although it is the season, I wanted to avoid going full Wimbledon. Black accessories are the much needed element to take things in an unexpected direction. It also helps that this sunglasses/shoes/bag combo is one of my favorites this season.

I love how easily everything came together this morning. There’s something so freeing about wearing something without much thought. I wanted to wear all white, so I did. Easy as that.
