As we dip further into October, more of my favorite jackets are making a reappearance. It’s no secret that I love jacket weather. There’s something about layering that makes fashion so interesting! It’s also a testament to my love of fall, where the weather is chilly but not freezing. The perfect temperature for a stroll outside with a steaming cup of coffee. Sigh. Anyway, I woke up this morning with a craving for a little structure. Hence the houndstooth. We’re finally in that sweet space between warm and cold weather, so this Wednesday calls for a blazer.
This outfit is inspired by a look that Lily Collins wore on her press tour for Emily in Paris. She reminded me that a denim and blazer outfit never gets old.
I love this blazer because it looks polished but at the same time, it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I mean, it’s covered in shooting stars! Add in a comfortable pair of high waisted denim and a pair of mules, and you’ve got a simple but chic weekday outfit.
Once again, I’m squeezing in my favorite heeled sandals for one last hurrah before winter. It’s a little chilly to be wearing open toe shoes, but they add the perfect amount of height to this outfit. I had to pull them out regardless!
This season, I’ve been finding out that some of the best looks are the easiest to throw together. The overall effect is polished, but effortless. It’s a perfect look for this chilly weather. When I looked out my window this morning to see the sunny fall day, I felt that this Wednesday calls for a blazer.
