The theme of today’s post is Pinterest. Pinterest in its moodiest, most creative form.
Pinterest, to me, has always felt like Instagram’s freely creative sister. For today’s look, I wanted to play around with that creative feeling and draft up an outfit that is decidedly Pinterest inspired. It’s experimental, it’s creative, and it rides the edge of what’s practical and what’s far fetched. Basically, it feels like a daydream come to life.
Here, we have an outfit that I wouldn’t hesitate to pin to my fashion board. However, wearing it in real life? I’m not so sure. It’s really the riding boots and shorts combo that feels like such a risk. Although I wore this combination this summer, it seems to stand out a little extra in the fall.
There’s something about shorts with boots that feels so complex. There’s such a small window in which you can feasibly wear an outfit like this, and I think the lack of practicality is what makes me a little hesitant. However, the more I look at this outfit, the more I love how it turned out. Practical or not.
Although this is slightly out of my comfort zone, I’m wearing it outside of the house anyway. For the sake of creativity and growth, but also because fashion is always more fun with a little risk!
