Same But Different

August 13, 2025

I love creating unique and layered outfits. Playing around with different textures and colors makes getting dressed all the more fun. However, if I’m being completely honest, my day to day style is not always so revolutionary. In fact, I typically operate with a ‘same but different’ philosophy.

The ‘same but different’ idea is simple. Take a recent outfit that you loved, and modify a single item.

For today’s look, I was inspired by Monday’s outfit. There’s just something about the denim cutoffs and loafers combination that has me in a chokehold. I knew I wanted to rewear this look, but I didn’t want to repeat the entire thing so close to my last wear.

To keep things as similar as possible, I stuck to the same color palette and swapped the poplin for a light colored graphic t-shirt.

This outfit couldn’t be any easier to create. It’s the exact same as Monday’s, just with a different top. The result is a strikingly similar outfit with a completely different vibe.

Same, but different!
