Hello and happy September! My favorite time of year has officially arrived, and I could not be more thrilled. I always feel like I come alive in the fall months. It’s the perfect temperature for layers, the vibes are cozy, and the holidays are just around the corner. I say all of this as though the leaves are falling in real time when, in actuality, it’s 93 degrees outside. Seeing as it is still summer in September, I’m focusing on crafting outfits that are fall inspired more than actually fall appropriate. I know that I’ll be dreaming about these temperatures come January, so for now, I’m trying to enjoy these last opportunities to wear my summer wardrobe.

To be completely honest, this is a “grab anything from the clean pile and call it a day” kind of outfit. The shirt is wrinkled, the shoes are scuffed, and this heat means I really don’t care. I tried to make this somewhat fall inspired by bringing in the black silk skirt, but I’ve been wearing this piece all summer so I’m not sure how ‘fall’ it really is. If anything, it’s a transitional piece that will take me from t-shirts and sneakers to ankle boots and sweaters. I cannot wait until I can switch out my summer staples for fall favorites. Until then, I’ll be here trying to enjoy summer’s last hurrah.
