Do you ever pull an outfit together and then immediately question everything? That’s kind of what happened here. I usually never wear riding boots beyond winter, but I was looking for a little extra something for this outfit. What could be more unexpected than a pair of riding boots? In summer! I’ve seen this look done a thousand times with cowboy boots. Since I don’t own a pair, I thought riding boots might make an interesting substitute. Either it would be a smashing success or a total fail. But where’s the fun in fashion without a little risk?
I feel like I’ve said it a thousand times, but it’s true. I love contrast! The light wash denim and white linen paired with the black leather boot is *parfait.* Also, the high/low contrast of the tall boot and the denim short is divine. At first, I wasn’t so sure that this outfit would make it out of the house. Now, I’m not sure I’ll take it off!
