Travel Shoe Upgrade
I went on vacation at the beginning of the summer and made a critical error. I exclusively packed aspirational shoes. In this scenario, aspirational foot wear looked like shoes that I’ve broken in, but are not necessarily comfortable for long distance walking. Of course, on my trip, there was plenty of long distance walking. I’m normally a huge advocate for comfort, but this trip was such a quick one that I thought, ‘what the heck.’ Needless to say, I experienced more than a little regret and have since vowed to change my ways. Anyway, I’m upgrading my favorite everyday shoes to my favorite travel shoes. Nike Cortez, you’ve done it again.

At the beginning of the month, the US Open Tennis absolutely dominated my TV screen. This tournament was the final major of the year, so I made sure to soak in as many of the matches that I could!
While the primary draw is the actual tennis, this tournament is also known to serve up some major style inspiration. Red was been the color of the season, and I couldn’t help but pull out my favorite top in this vibrant color to match.
It’s a little on the nose with the tennis skirt, but I’ve always loved a theme!
