Hello Cold Front

Hello cold front! These periods of colder weather never fail to ignite my excitement for fall! While this chilly, rainy weather can tend to lean a little gloomy, I’m gleefully taking advantage of the lower temperatures. Low 70s mean transitional denim, so I’m obviously reaching for my beloved capris.

I keep talking about this cold front and transitional weather, as if we’re currently experiencing winter temperatures. Yes, this weather is decidedly chillier than the high 90s we’ve become accustomed to, but it’s not exactly cold. So, summery pieces like short sleeves and sandals still play a crucial role.

What I love about this outfit, and about these pants, is the seasonal ambiguity. Is it fall? Is it summer? It could be either, it could be both. On days like today, it functions as the perfect solution to this cold front.

I’ve been loving summer so much this year. Much more than usual. Even so, this cooler weather has me excitedly counting down the days till fall!
