Feeling a Little Fancy

This morning I woke up with the desire to feel a little fancy. Especially after yesterday’s casual vibe. Not that I didn’t love yesterday’s look, but sometimes it’s nice to dress up for no reason. Even when there’s nowhere in particular to go.

This summer I’ve been making an effort to romanticize the mundane aspects of my everyday life. Today, this looks like wearing a dress and ballet pumps to run errands. I read once that the French dress up to go to the grocery store, and while I’m not sure if this is exactly true, it’s the vibe I’m going for today.

It always surprises me how much my outfit impacts my mood. Suddenly, visits to the pharmacy and the post office no longer feel so drab. Now I’m off to run boring errands in a not so boring look!

Let this be your sign to dress for anything like it’s an event. Who said errands don’t deserve a little fancy?
