It Feels Like Spring
Just when I thought the layering days were behind us, chilly weather brings one last opportunity to style my favorite knits. This weather is subtly reminding me to take a breath, enjoy the moment, and cherish all that spring has to offer. I haven’t been discreet in my anticipation for the summer season, and this feels like a gentle reminder to take each day as it comes. Summer might be just around the corner, but for now, it feels like spring.

I feel like I’ve talked on loop about my excitement for summer weather. This winter felt unusually long and dreary, and I’ve been desperate for all things warm weather related. When this happens, spring and all of its gentle beauty gets pushed aside. That is, until days like today when the weather is forcibly reminding me that we’re not quite at summer yet.
Since the temperature calls for a sweater, I thought I’d lean into a bit of a vintage vibe. The inspiration for this look was 90s collegiate. Like I just threw this on to walk across the quad to the library. To further lean in to the vintage look, you could also swap out the loafers for a pair of sneakers and scrunchy socks.
If I’m being completely honest, I’m not that mad about the dip in temperatures. I’ll take any excuse to bring out my favorite knits! Even better if I can create a little contrast with the denim shorts.
There’s such a small window where you can wear an outfit like this, so I’m soaking up every second. Tomorrow, hopefully, we’ll be back to summer styling!
