What better way to welcome May than with cuffed jeans and bright colors? I’m a faithful fan of dark wash denim and I love to take any opportunity to wear this wash year round.
While I typically like to pair these with black sweaters and boots, it was time to come up with a spring alternative. My 2024 spring/summer aesthetic is highly dependent upon color so, naturally, I had to try pairing these pants with some fun prints.
It’s no secret that I love unexpected color combinations. Here I’ve paired the pink and orange of this top with the soft blue of the heels for a combination that shouldn’t work but just does. I love the whimsical vibe that this outfit creates. I mean, the cat print alone. I’m obsessed.
As an equally spring-y alternative, I’ve swapped out the cat print top for a sweet sunflower print. I don’t think that I can look at this top and not feel joy. The color, the print, the ruffles! The cuffed hem of these jeans gives a little classic flair that both balances out the color, and allows it to really pop. Plus it highlights the shoe! Perfection.
