Western Inspired
Western wear has been having a moment lately, and I’ve been thinking about all of the ways that I could make this trend my own. I don’t own a pair of traditional cowboy boots, but I do own boots that are decidedly western inspired. When it comes to this trend, that’s all you need right? Denim, boots, and cotton. For this outfit, I’m taking the trend and playing around with the key elements. It’s all about working with what I have and leaving my own stamp on the look.
There are a few key essentials when planning a western inspired outfit- denim, cotton, and boots. I have these Frye riding boots, not an official cowboy boot, but definitely a little cowboy inspired.
I’ve styled these with a black silk skirt, a simple tank top, and a denim vest for that western inspired flair. It’s a subtle participation in the trend.
With this skirt and boot combo, can you tell that I’m excited for fall? This is an outfit that can easily transition between seasons, and I can’t wait until I can layer it with sweaters and jackets. Until then, a little denim vest and tank top will do!
