A Vintage Summer

Lately I’ve been really into the idea of a vintage summer. I watched “Roman Holiday” for the first time, and all of my yearnings for an adventurous and Audrey Hepburn themed season seem to stem from this place. Think picnics, evening strolls, and reading in the sunshine. Not to mention the fashion! There are so many iconic style moments to be taken from this film. You know those wrap sandals she finds in the market? I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect match. Until then, I’ve taken this inspiration and I’ve drafted up a vintage-esque outfit featuring summer classics like gingham, and of course, capris!

My goal for this outfit was to create something that could seamlessly blend in on the set of a black and white movie. It was important that everything feel as vintage and retro as possible, but not so dated that it feels like a costume.

I found a little happy medium with my beloved capris. Add in some gingham and a pair of 90s inspired sunglasses, and I feel ready for a leisurely summer stroll!
