One Sweater 5 Ways – Day 4
It’s Day 4 of the One Sweater 5 Ways series, and today’s look is all about casual comfort. Thursdays always find me feeling tired from the week, ready for the weekend, and a little unmotivated when it comes to outfit styling. The best way to deal with those end of week style slumps? Comfort! I slipped on a pair of some of my comfiest denim, ballet flats, and the sweater of the week for an easy Thursday look.
This series is all about the cardigan, but it has also felt a bit like a denim tour. So far this week I’ve worn a straight leg, a wide leg, a pair of cut offs, and now a boyfriend. I guess this speaks to the versatility of the sweater. Any style of denim works with this top!
When I was pulling together today’s outfit, ease and comfort were main motivators, so boyfriend jeans were a no brainer. I love the medium wash of these pants, especially with the black sweater. It’s also nice to return to a blue jean after yesterday’s monochromatic look.
Whenever I wear a pair of boyfriend jeans, I like to play around with the silhouette by pairing them with refined pieces. The puffed sleeves of the sweater and the dainty ballet flats create the perfect contrast to balance out the baggy denim.
The overall effect is a super easy, polished look that’s comfy enough to be worn all day. All that’s missing is a mug of tea and a cinnamon scented candle!
