October Favorites
Happy Halloween! To celebrate this last day of October, I’m doing all I can to enjoy everything spooky. It’s always at this time of year when Christmas decor starts popping up in stores, and I start getting a little prematurely excited for the holiday season. To combat the early Christmas vibes, I’m reflecting on everything I loved throughout October. Here are my October favorites!
Favorite Song- The Twilight Soundtrack
If fall vibes were a playlist… it would be the Twilight soundtrack. Say what you will about the movie, but you can’t deny that the soundtrack is STELLAR. It just screams moody, cozy, fall.
Favorite Book- As Good as Dead by Holly Jackson
Is there a better month than October to read a murder mystery? I’ve been working my way through the Good Girl’s Guide to Murder series, and I finished the final book this month. I’ve loved following Pip as she tackles crime and solves cold cases. I finished up the series, and it has gone on my shelf as a favorite YA thriller.
Favorite Show/Movie- Halloweentown
Tis the season! Every year it feels like Christmas creeps in earlier and earlier. While Christmas is easily my favorite holiday, there’s a time and place for everything, and October is not yet it. I don’t want to get overly excited for Christmas this early in the season, so I’ve been really leaning in to all things Halloween. This looks like watching childhood favorites like Halloweentown on repeat!
Favorite Snack- Health-Ade Kombucha
There’s nothing like the occasional kombucha to give your gut a little pep. I’m a fan of introducing a probiotic into my routine every now and then, and this kombucha by Health-Ade is my go-to. I’ve tried many a kombucha over the years, and none taste as good as this one!
Favorite Closet Item- Skinny Scarf
There has officially been a skinny scarf revival. I never thought I’d love this piece as much as I do, but it has clearly established itself as the accessory of the season. It also helps that I knitted it myself!
Favorite Beauty Product- La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm
Colder weather means drier skin. It also means that I’m reaching for all of the ultra hydrating products. This cream from La Roche Posay is a holy grail balm. It has a multitude of uses, but I love to put it on any stubborn dry patches before I go to bed. It also works wonders on dry and cracked cuticles!
That wraps up my October Favorites. Looking for more monthly lists? Check out what I was loving in September.
