If I lived in Stars Hollow
We’ve reached the point in the season where walking around feels like stepping into an episode of Gilmore Girls. It’s already known that fall is my favorite season, so it’s no surprise that the sight of the changing leaves makes me feel absolutely giddy. It’s such a magical time of year. The holidays are on the way and the weather is cold enough to start wearing my favorite pieces.
This is also the season where Gilmore Girls fans unite to rewatch the classic early aughts tv show. It just feels like an ode to the season. A quaint New England town, fall foliage galore, and endless Y2K outfit ideas. What more could you want? After seeing so many Gilmore Girls tributes on my fyp, I got inspired to create an outfit with a little Gilmore flair. If I lived in Stars Hollow, here’s what I would wear.
Like any good early aughts tv show, thick knits, chunky boots, and loose denim are worn on repeat. Thankfully, many of these outfits include items that have made a return to the fashion circuit, and my closet, in recent years.
For this look, I wanted to focus on pieces that I already own, like this Levi’s jacket, and my Frye riding boots. I added a skinny scarf and some butterfly clips to lean further in to that early aughts aesthetic.
This is one of those looks that has quickly made its way into my fall rotation. It’s cozy, but also cool, perfect for that transitional weather. There’s also something about that scarf that feels so Gilmore-esque. It turns out that this skinny scarf looks just as good with a denim jacket as it does with leather!
After pulling this look together, it’s easy to say that if I lived in Stars Hollow, this is what you’d find me wearing!
