Farmer’s Market Aesthetic

It’s Tuesday, and I’m not going to the farmer’s market today. However, something about this last week of May has me day dreaming about all of my favorite summer activities. The weather is warm, the morning is sunny, and my outfit is giving off a little farmer’s market aesthetic. It’s what I’d wear if I were headed on a lazy Saturday outing. Instead, it’s a regular Tuesday. But this linen jumpsuit is bringing a smile to my face all the same.

While I love summer for a plethora of reasons, the simplicity of summer style is at the top of the list. This simplicity is born out of necessity (that mid summer humidity is no joke), but also allows for a sort of care-free vibe to take hold of my closet. Layers are nonexistent, and the best outfits are made up of one piece items. Like this linen jumpsuit.

This jumpsuit is an old favorite from my closet, and every year I can’t wait until I can bring it out. The sun washed colors, patched fabric, and baggy silhouette are some of its strongest merits.

I love to throw this on over a bathing suit, on a humid Saturday morning at the farmer’s market, or if I’m just lounging around at home, reading in the sunshine. Part of the appeal of this jumpsuit is its ability to go anywhere. With the right accessories, it can move from a beach coverup to the perfect brunch outfit.

Today I’m leaning on the more casual side of things. I’m starting off this post-holiday week a little slowly. An outfit that feels gentle but also put together is most welcome!
