A Monochromatic Summer Look
As I’m writing this post, I can’t help but laugh at how I started out this summer with a goal of wearing more color. I wanted this to be the summer where I leaned fully into the themes of the season. Think florals, bright colors, loud patterns. As the summer months have gone on, I’ve sunk back into my old ways of wearing a mostly neutral color palate. I guess I can aim to wear more color but, at the end of the day, I know what I like. In the midst of the exceptionally hot weather and my late summer fashion slump, I’ve decided to lean on what’s simple. It’s days like these that call for a monochromatic summer look.
At this point in the season, my summer styling inspiration has been at an all time low. I’m more inclined to just throw on a t-shirt and a pair of denim shorts than I am to think about crafting up an outfit. However, today I wanted to take things up a notch. Hence the all black outfit. Is there anything more elegant or simply chic than an all black look? Not only does it present a little dressier, but it also disguises the sweat stains that come with the late summer heat. A win-win! Sometimes, summer just calls for a monochromatic look.
What is your favorite summer color palate?
