Back to Monochrome
Hello, and happy Wednesday! Today’s outfit has taken a complete 180 from earlier in the week, and I can’t say I’m mad about it. The gloomy winter weather lent itself to a moody look, so all black it is.

I loved Monday’s outfit. All of that color brought some much needed brightness to this winter gloom. But at the same time, I was pleased to have completed that weekly goal early. With that checked off my list, I was free to indulge in my favorite outfit formula– all black.
It’s funny that one day of color has spawned a complete style 180, but that what progress is all about. I’m adding new practices to my style, not taking away beloved things like monochrome dressing. At least that’s what I keep telling myself.
This outfit is the perfect midweek pick me up. It’s full of comfortable favorites like a stretchy turtleneck and worn-in converse high tops, while the monochromatic palette keeps things feeling chic and refined. Low effort, but more polished than my athleisure.
I have to admit, I felt a little guilty wearing this look right after declaring my goal of wearing more color. Even though I promised myself grace and ease with new resolutions. Old, perfectionist habits die hard, I guess.
Even so, it’s a new year. Strict all-or-nothing thinking was left behind in 2025.
Wear the color, wear the monochrome. Do what feels best!
