An Ode to Ease

Sometimes I wake up and just don’t feel like getting dressed. Especially on days when I’ve stayed up too late the night before, the morning is cold and dreary, or I’ve simply run out of style inspiration. On this particular morning, it was all of the above. Days like these beg for ease and comfort, so I’ve paired one of my coziest sweaters with my favorite jeans for an easy, low effort look. Today’s outfit is an ode to ease.

I’m so late to the party, but I’ve finally added something brown to my wardrobe. This has been the it color for months, but it’s always felt a little intimidating. What do you wear with brown? Besides more brown? In typical Miranda fashion, I’d been overthinking things. Brown is a neutral after all.

As much as I’d like to say there was intentionality in this outfit, it actually came about by throwing on whatever was closest in my closet. The sweater is from Aerie and is, by default, one of the softest things in my closet. On this freezing morning, comfort was essential! And for the sake of ease, I paired it with my favorite, wear-with-everything jeans, and some black boots. The overall look is as simple as it gets. It’s also helped me realize that styling brown is not so complicated!
