A Slip Dress for Winter
Just as I was starting to get acquainted with fall styling, winter weather blew in to throw everything for a loop. I don’t know why it’s been so difficult for me to accept the season, but this year just hasn’t felt like fall yet. Until now, when we have quite obviously moved into winter. A bright side to this crisp weather, is that I’ve finally accepted that it’s boot and sweater season. And yet, I can’t let go of my favorite summer pieces. Since the cold weather is here to stay, here’s how I’m styling a slip dress in the winter months.

This outfit is, unsurprisingly, inspired by the 90s. There’s something about that decade and a slip dress. Be it summer or fall, this piece had its moment.
To winterize an otherwise summer outfit, I added my favorite pair of Frye boots and a cardigan.
This sweater is actually a top that has never fit quite right. Magically, it works perfectly as a cardigan. A discovery that has saved it from the donation pile. Don’t you love when that happens? Something old is made new, something unworn is made useful!
While I love this outfit on its own, it’s far too cold to go without a jacket. It’s not pictured, but I threw on my old J. Crew City Coat on my way out the door.
