Winter Style Wishlist

The beginning of a new season is always filled with so much excitement. It’s a fresh batch of months full of new holidays, a change in weather, and new trends. As we begin the slow approach towards the winter season, I’ve been happily scoping out all of the new winter style trends. So far, I’m happy to report that this season is full of wonderful things. I’m looking at you animal print! Anyway, I’ve compiled a list of a few of the fashion pieces that I’ve been particularly obsessed with. Here is my winter style wishlist.

Barrel Jeans

My admiration for the barrel jean prevails. This funky silhouette creates some of the coolest looks. It feels effortless, but exudes style, and I’d love to pair these with a chunky cable knit sweater and a pair of loafers or ballet flats.

Red Knits

Shades of red have been all over my FYP this season. From vibrant cherry to muted wine, this color has been popping up in everything from sweaters to leather goods. It’s such a fun hue, especially on those gray winter days. A bright red knit also feels like an early holiday treat!

Brown Leather Ankle Boots

I have been on the hunt for the perfect ankle boot for so long that it feels like an epic quest at this point. So many of the boots on the market right now either don’t extend high enough past the ankle, are too high in the heel, or are made of synthetic fibers but sold at leather prices. Needless to say, my search continues. However, I have found two options that just may find their way into my closet.

• A dreamy chocolate brown

Socks with Ruffles

Lately I’ve been trying to add a little something extra to my everyday outfits. This usually looks like adding a fun little detail like a ruffled sock. I love how these look peeking out from under my cropped pants, or over a penny loafer. They add a dose of femininity to my chunkier shoes, and every time I catch a glimpse, they bring a smile to my face.

Long Coat

Coats have always felt like a big, investment-style purchase to me. A new coat is something you use all the time but don’t generally replace on a whim. So anytime I’m in the market for a new coat, it feels like a special occasion. This season, I’m looking for a longer length, a neutral other than black, and a sturdy and warm fabric.

A Few I’ve Been Eying:

• This Dark Pine J. Crew number
• This soft Taupe coat from Hollister
• The dreamiest cocoon coat in Dark Caramel

Only time will tell if all or any of these pieces make their way into my closet. Whether I end up making the purchases or not, I’ll at least be admiring these winter styles all season long!
