Welcome Fall with Jeans and Ruffles
It’s always at the end of summer when I start to feel all kinds of style burn out. I’ve exhausted my favorite looks for hot weather, and I feel fully out of ideas. That, along with the fact that it’s my favorite season, makes fall all the more welcome. This is the season where I feel like the real me finally comes to life. The weather is crisp and pleasant, and I can dress in what I consider to be my true style. Sigh. I just love fall. I may be getting a bit ahead of myself. It’s early September and the temperatures still reach the 80s, but fall is fall in my book. What better way to welcome my favorite season than with something fun like jeans and ruffles?
This outfit has been marinating in my brain for a while now. I’ve just needed cooler temperatures in order to finally put it into practice. I’m pleased to say that this look seamlessly transitioned from my mental vision to real life. I’m obsessed with how it turned out.
To highlight the transitional nature of early September, I decided to stick to a lighter color palette. It’s bright like summer, but fall in every other way.
In other news, I love that it’s finally jeans weather! By mid summer, I’m dreaming of the day when I can finally break out my favorite pair of Levi’s. I chose to pair the wide leg with this silky top because, you guessed it, contrast. The contrast between the dainty silk top and the wide leg jean is *chef’s kiss.*
This feels like the perfect outfit to welcome the season and I cannot wait for all of the seasonal styling to come! There really is nothing like fall.
