Under Pressure
Sometimes I feel like I can draft up outfits left and right. And other times, it feels like pulling teeth. If I’m being completely honest, today’s outfit is the product of more than a little style frustration. I’ve been putting so much pressure on myself to create the perfect, best, most, kinds of looks, that I fully ran out of steam. So, instead of trying to force the issue, I decided to pivot. Less focus on an imagined style ideal, and more focus on what feels right. Funnily enough, letting go of the pressure to create the perfect outfit has led to one of my very favorite looks!

It’s so easy for me to get overwhelmed by what’s trending or what I “should” be wearing, and before I know it, getting dressed feels more like a stress and less like a joy.
Instead of aiming to be the best/most, this outfit is reflective of taking a moment to breathe. Everything featured here is decidedly comfort wear, and today? I wouldn’t have it any other way.
This outfit feels like a reset. It’s a combination of things that feel good, and of things that I’ve wanted to wear (hello Nike Cortez!). Best of all? None of it took copious amounts of thought. I have quickly figured out that for me, the easiest, most comfortable looks are the ones that spark the most joy. There’s just something about feeling good that is such a confidence boost.
Anyway, the moral of the story is that the greatest outfits don’t have to be the most chic. Sometimes the best looks are the ones that simply make you feel your best.
