The Mirror Selfie is Back

Happy Friday! I woke up this morning on the sunny side. It’s Friday, the Super Bowl is Sunday, and the Winter Olympics begin tonight!! In honor of the weekend’s excitement, I wanted to create an outfit that is reflective of my mood– cheery and bright. Also, the mirror selfie is back! I debated on whether or not I should take a more casual approach to today’s photos, and so far, I think this relaxed vibe is a win! Maybe next week will return to regular scheduled programming, but for now, I’m having fun with the switch up.

When I think of the quintessential Friday outfit, I think of anything that is casual, effortless, and just plain cool.

A key theme of today’s look is casual Friday. I wanted an outfit that is polished, but relaxed enough to feel lived in. Hence the classic jeans and turtleneck combo.

While I love a good jeans and turtleneck outfit, the real star of this look is my current hyper-fixation shoe, this burgundy pair from Quince. I’ve worn them on repeat since Christmas, and it doesn’t look like they’ll be going anywhere anytime soon.

I love when I find a piece that I love enough to wear every day. It makes the purchase feel satisfyingly justified.

It is February, and all shades of red and pink feel very on brand. So don’t be surprised if you see me wearing these shoes all month long!
