The 90s Called
Hello 90s fashion! I love you! Of all the decades and all the trends, there’s something about this style that feels infinitely timeless. It also helps that it’s so easy to recreate from things already in my closet. Today’s look is vintage inspired, and feels a little experimental thanks to the straight leg jeans tucked into boots (!!). Overall, this outfit has further cemented my love for the decade!

We’re in the first week of February, and the weather is starting to get significantly warmer. As ready as I am for spring weather, I’m not yet ready to let go of my favorite layers! This outfit is the brain child of one such weather panic, and features a favorite sweatshirt layered under a favorite blazer.
I looked through a lot of 90s riding boots outfits on Pinterest for inspiration, and created a look that has one foot in 90s style, and one foot in the here and now. I can’t get over how easily this decade translates into modern style!
One of my favorite things about this look is the emphasis on comfort. These are my stretchiest jeans and when paired with a sweatshirt, this look feels like a glorified sweatsuit. The blazer and boots make things a little more dressy, but that casual, retro vibe remains.
Also, can I quickly shout out the straight leg jeans tucked into the riding boots? I was initially afraid that the silhouette wouldn’t work, but I love how vintage it turned out. It’s rare that an outfit turns out as perfectly as the vision in my head, but this one is pretty darn close.
