Summer Beauty Favorites

There’s something about the changing of the seasons that makes me so excited to change up my look. New temperatures mean swapping out sweaters and boots for sandals and airy dresses. It feels like a fresh start. New season, new me. Haha or something like that. Anyway, warmer weather also means new summer beauty favorites.

In this July heat, my summer makeup motto is less is more. Not only does a lighter look give a fresh off the beach vibe, but it’s also less likely to sweat off the moment I step outside. I’ve called this my everyday makeup routine, but it’s basically the only makeup routine I use all summer, day or night. Light, easy, and fresh.

Here are My Summer Beauty Favorites!

1. Glossier Future Dew

Instead of using foundation, I’ve been using Glossier’s Future Dew to create a subtle, glowing, base. This product gives my skin a fresh and hydrated tint that keeps it looking bright and healthy. This is one of my favorite products for everyday, and I love wearing it as a primer or on its own.

2. Glossier Stretch Concealer in L2

This has long been my go-to concealer. It’s dewy, it’s light but it’s strong, and it covers everything I want covered!

3. Glossier Cloud Paint in Spark

This is the first time I’ve been using a red blush. I usually gravitate towards the light, subtle, pinks à la Puff. However, I am absolutely loving how sun-kissed and vibrant this blush looks. I put it on my cheeks, across my nose, and add little bit to my eyelids too. It’s a multipurpose color that looks great everywhere.

4. Rare Beauty Brow Harmony Flexible Lifting Gel

This is a new find that has me feeling like I’m cheating on my beloved Boy Brow. This clear brow gel from Rare Beauty is perfect for when I want a little lift to my brows without any extra color. The first thing I noticed about this product was that this is a brow gel with serious strength. It definitely feels like a stronger hold than Boy Brow, and its lack of pigment gives off a fresh and natural vibe. I’m not ready to totally ditch my Boy Brow, but I’m loving this clear brow gel on those days when I want a look that’s a little pared back.

5. Sun Bum Texturizing Sea Spray

I’m fully leaning into the fresh from the beach aesthetic, and that look wouldn’t be complete without a good sea spray. I’ve been spraying this on damp hair and letting it air dry, before finishing off the look with a little curl creme to fight frizz. The result is that perfect, effortless, fresh from the surf vibe. It also smells like summer in a bottle which keeps that beachy feeling alive.

If I’m looking to dress it up a little for an evening out, I’ll add a bit of Elf Halo Glow for light coverage, and bold lipstick for an extra pop.

Super easy and light for summer!
