Suit Shorts

Just when I thought things couldn’t get more interesting than capris, suit shorts have joined the conversation. There’s something very specific about a pair of shorts made of suit fabric, and it’s been a challenge figuring out how and where to wear them.

Whenever things feel difficult stylistically, I’m a big believer in leaning on what you know. For me this looks like crafting an all black look.

To jump start the creativity, I spent time combing through Pinterest for the perfect monochromatic inspiration. I knew the vibe I wanted to go for– vintage, minimalist, effortless, and I found plenty of inspiration from 60s and 90s style.

It may be cliche, but there truly is something so chic about wearing all one color. In this case, the monochrome helps me ease these shorts into my rotation without feeling too far out of my comfort zone.

I have to say, I’m loving the result. There is something to be said about simple outfits, and this one reminds me of why I love them so much!

Until I find a new way to style suit shorts, expect to see me in this outfit all summer!
