Styling a Twilight Tee

2025 is the year of wearing what you want to wear, simply because you want to wear it. At least, this is my motto for the coming months. While there is nothing wrong with subscribing to the trends of the day, there’s something to be said about sticking to what you know and love. I’ve spoken a bit about this in my post on dressing anti-trendy, and much of those sentiments still ring true. For today’s look, I’m leaning hard on the thought of wearing what I want to wear by unironically styling a Twilight Tee for everyday.

My love for Twilight has been a long and tumultuous road filled with periods of adoration, embarrassment, and finally, acceptance. When I found this t-shirt at target, it was an instant add into my cart. One of the best things about growing older, is the growing confidence in who you are and what you like! For me, this looks like wearing a Twilight t-shirt just because.

For this look, I wanted to keep the t-shirt the star of the show. This looked like layering it over a neutral base of black and denim. The goal is to create an outfit that is decidedly fun, but is also less Hot Topic, and more updated, if that makes sense.

Naturally, wide leg jeans are a must. A favorite pair of boots round out the outfit for what I view to be a sophisticated take on the fan-girl t-shirt.

It turns out that a little Twilight tee is just what I needed to not take my outfit styling too seriously!
