Sneaker Season

I’ve been loving the trench coat trend this fall. Whether it’s dressed up or paired with sneakers, this coat has proven to be the versatile jacket of the season. While I’ve loved wearing it with trouser pants and dresses, I was craving a more casual approach this time around. What better way to add a little casual comfort than with a classic sneaker? Fall is sneaker season, and I’m pulling out my favorite pair.

Every season is sneaker season, but there’s just something about fall styling that takes these shoes up a level. Denim, layers, cozy socks! Sneakers are made for fall fashion.

When it comes to favorite pairs, I’m a loyal fan of the Nike Cortez. It’s a classic style for a reason, and I find myself reaching for it year round. The Adidas Samba still has a choke hold on the fashion world, and while it’s an iconic shoe as well, I’m campaigning for a Nike Cortez fall. I’ve written about my love for this shoe, which you can read here, and all of these months later, the love burns just as brightly.

While I endlessly love the vintage feel of this shoe, any sneaker would work with this neutral toned outfit. Even an Adidas Samba!

October brings the perfect weather for fall styling and I can’t wait to play around with sneaker options all month long!
