Riding Boots for Summer Pt. 2
If you’ve seen my earlier post, Riding Boots for Summer, you know that I’ve been having so much fun playing around with unexpected seasonal looks. This is true all the time, but especially recently, when I’ve been been itching for a little extra outfit creativity. Something a little fun, a little unexpected, a little contrasting. Obviously, this has once again led me to riding boots. I found myself craving an outfit with contrast, and what better way to create contrast than a little boots and shorts combo? I did not expect to love the boots in summer look so much but this season, I just can’t get enough! Here’s how I’m styling riding boots for summer pt. 2.
The vibe here is casual, comfortable, and a little rock and roll. Riding boots have long been such a classic, almost preppy, closet item. I wanted to play around with that by pairing them with denim cutoffs and a vintage T. The resulting look brings a bit of edge to an otherwise classic boot. Got to love the contrast!
The longer I look at this outfit, the more I love the look. I love bringing new life to old favorites, and this summer feels like a riding boot revival. There’s something about that knee high silhouette paired with a summer dress or a pair of cutoffs. Ugh. Divine.
How do you feel about the boots and shorts combo? Yay or nay?
