Overalls are the Style Hero

I’ve officially reached the point of the year when seasonal fatigue has taken over. I’m fully tired of winter, winter dressing, feeling constantly cold, and longing for the summer months. Thankfully, we’ve finally made it to March and spring is on the horizon! Although the calendar is starting to point towards warmer weather, the temperatures are still decidedly winter. When I’m feeling tired of a given season, simplicity in my outfit choices is a must. What could be simpler than a one-piece outfit? Today, overalls are the style hero!

At this point in the season, whatever is easiest is what gets worn. Motivation and inspiration for cold weather dressing is at an all time low, and I’m just doing the best that I can.

Whenever I need something simple and comfortable, overalls are my go-to. It’s a one piece outfit that requires very little thinking, perfect for slow moving days like today.

To give the overalls a little more dimension, I’ve added a vintage leather jacket and a pair of trusty penny loafers. Overalls and penny loafers are one of my absolute favorite outfit combinations. On paper, they don’t go together, but the contrast of the casual and dressy is *chef’s kiss.*

When I got dressed this morning, I didn’t anticipate that today’s look would amount to anything special. But the more I look at this combo, I can’t help but feel a little inspired. Maybe winter style still has a little life in it yet!
