Non-Tennis Skirt
One of my favorite style tricks is wearing a piece for something other than its intended purpose. Athletic clothes are primarily worn for leisure, workwear overalls are worn with loafers, and tennis skirts are worn for anything but tennis. Today’s outfit is another mismatched outfit featuring a tennis skirt for decidedly non-athletic purposes.

This month I’m making a concentrated effort to be less dependent upon athleisure. I feel like whenever I find myself in a style rut, I end up leaning on what is most comfortable and what takes the least amount of effort. While I’ll never be one to fully eliminate athletic clothes from my wardrobe, I do want to put a little extra effort into my everyday look.
The perfect compromise is something that looks a little dressed up but also exudes comfort. Why choose between comfort and style when you can have both?
This tennis skirt is my favorite piece for easy styling. It’s the definition of comfort wear, and it can also be dressed up to look like a regular pleated skirt. A win win. The final touches are a favorite sweater and a pair or loafers for the perfect low maintenance outfit to match my low effort vibe.
