My Favorite Things – March 2024

I am a lover of lists. I love creating lists, I love reading lists, lists are basically a love language at this point. I especially love writing down my favorite things every once and a while. There’s nothing like looking back at old favorites and seeing where I’ve changed and where I’ve remained the same. You can learn so much about someone from their favorite things. I thought it would be fun to chronicle my favorite things every month as something I can use to look back on and reminisce. Anyway, to kick off this little series, here are my favorite things for the month of March!

favorite song- evermore by taylor swift

This month I’ve been listening to Evermore by Taylor Swift on repeat. It’s such a moody and soothing song. Perfect background for these early spring days.

favorite book- queen of shadows by sarah j. maas

I recently started the Throne of Glass series for the first time and wow. What a journey it’s been. It quite literally took me a year to read the first book because I found it to be more than a little dull. However, I’ve seen how obsessed people are with this series so I forced myself to continue. Fast forward to book four, Queen of Shadows. This book was amazing. I couldn’t put it down! This book made me fall in love with the series and I now finally understand the hype. Somehow I get the feeling that the end of this series is going to be emotionally devastating, but I’m officially in too deep to stop now! I’ve always been of the opinion that Sarah J. Maas is a master storyteller, and this series just further confirms it.

favorite show/movie- “the way home” on hallmark

This drama on the Hallmark channel follows the Landry family as they work through long unresolved trauma. When Kat Landry returns home after twenty years away, she finds that much of what she fled continues to blanket the idyllic town of Port Haven. In order to move forward Kat must look to the past, and along with her daughter Alice, try to piece together what went wrong all those years ago. This is such a well written show with lovable, complex, characters that sucked me in from episode one. The acting, the writing, the scenery, are all wonderful. If you’re looking for a fun, well-written, non-graphic show, I can’t recommend this enough!

favorite snack/beverage- chia pudding

I’ve had a love hate relationship with chia pudding for as long as I’ve known of its existence. It always sounds good to me, but the texture somehow is always off. However, I recently started making chia pudding with kefir and it has made all the difference. The pudding is fluffy and flavorful without being weirdly lumpy like I’ve had in the past. I’ve made this a few times this month for an easy breakfast.

favorite closet item- coach mini bag

This little bag is a recent closet rediscovery, and I’ve been loving trying to style it in every way possible. The muted cream and pink tones are perfect for my spring aesthetic and I love how it’s compact but also functional. I usually gravitate to neutral bags, so styling this one has been a bit of a learning curve, but it’s also been such a fun project.

favorite beauty product- rhode peptide lip treatment

I shared a little bit about this product in my post about the beauty products that I’m loving right now. I’ve been loving it so much that I had to mention it twice! I’m normally a little hesitant to try viral products, but this one lives up to the hype. It looks like a high quality lip gloss while giving my lips lasting moisture. It also smells divine. I have it in salted caramel!
