My 5 Favorite Lipsticks for Fall
If there’s anything I love about the transition between seasons, it’s changing up my makeup routine. One of my absolute favorite products to play around with each season is lipstick. Do I own way too many shades of red? Probably. But they each have unique undertones! I need them! Now that we’re entering a new season, I’m clearing out my summer colors for something new. I’m a little predictable when it comes to fall shades. I love deep berry, burgundy and brown. Something moody and rich to compliment the creams and browns of my fall wardrobe. Overall, this season’s lipstick is all about the drama. Here are My 5 Favorite Lipsticks for Fall!
ColourPop Lux Lip Oil in Shade Bells
There are so many things I love about this lip oil. First of all, it’s part of ColourPop’s Twilight Collab. Need I say more? In addition to the incredible packaging, this product has quickly made its way into my everyday rotation because of its performance.
This is a lovely, subtle red that brings some much needed color to my face. Especially on low makeup or no makeup days. It’s hydrating, silky but not sticky, and it leaves my lips feeling like I just applied lip balm. I’ve been wearing this all summer, but the deep berry color will transition perfectly into fall.
NYX Butter Gloss in Shade Rocky Road
This ultra pigmented lipgloss from NYX is another hydrating, non-sticky formula. Rocky Road is a buildable berry color that leans a little towards wine. I love wearing this when I don’t want a full-on lipstick, but still want more color than a lip oil.
Sephora Rouge Lacquer in Shade Girl Gang
This is a shade that I just happened to pick up on a random Sephora run. It’s a classic red-ish orange with brown undertones, and I love its almost burnt orange color. The brown undertones add such a lovely fall vibe that warms up my fall makeup. It’s the perfect brown-red that makes any outfit that much more seasonal. Tragically, Sephora has since discontinued this line. However, a similar color is Megawatt which you can find here.
Too Faced Lady Bold Lipstick in Shade Be True to You
Speaking of brown-reds, this is my holy grail brick red lipstick. It has a lovely, hydrating, satin finish and the color lasts for ages. I love wearing this shade on an evening out or paired with denim and a cream sweater.
Glossier Ultralip in Shade Villa
This lipstick is a little out of the box for me, as I normally exclusively gravitate towards reds. However, I wanted to incorporate a neutral shade into my fall wardrobe to balance out all of the berry and brown. This lipstick from Glossier is another ultra hydrating formula that gives off buildable pigment with an almost lipgloss-like finish. To add a little extra shine, I also like to layer this underneath my rhode peptide lip treatment.
