January Favorites

New year, new list of favorites! I can’t believe that the first full month of 2025 is already coming to a close. But at the same time, it felt a bit eternal. January is usually like that–simultaneously quick and slow. With the month behind us, I’ve had the time to compile all of the different things that carried me through this mid-winter weather. Here are my January Favorites.

Favorite Song– You Should Probably Leave by Chris Stapleton

Country music has always been a genre I’ve associated with summer. There’s something about listening to country, with the windows down to let in the summer breeze. I’m usually exclusively a summer country listener. My love for the genre is mostly sentimental. However, this month I’ve been listening to a lot of Chris Stapleton despite it being the middle of winter. Listening to country in January has made summer feel that much closer!

Favorite Book– Happy Place by Emily Henry

Speaking of wishing for summer, Happy Place by Emily Henry is what started this longing for warmer weather. This is such a sweet romance novel that focuses on a tight knit group of friends as they spend a week together in Maine. When relationship troubles threaten the balance of the friend group, Wren and Harriet are forced to fake date until the beach trip is over. I loved so many things about this novel, and I wrote a more in depth review that you can read here.

Favorite Show- Silo and The Way Home

This month has been a wonderful month for tv. A few of my favorite shows have returned for new seasons, and I’ve been bouncing back and forth between favorites. I’ve been catching up on Silo on Apple, The Way Home on Hallmark, and Special Forces World’s Toughest Test on Fox!

Favorite Snack– Matcha

Starbucks is seriously pushing the Matcha this month, and I’m 100 percent on board. I’ve been enjoying these out, and crafting these at home with almond milk and a splash of vanilla all month long.

Favorite Closet Item– Aerie Sweater

Coziness has been carrying me through this month. If the weather is going to be terrible, I might as well lean in to all things warm and festive. This has largely looked like wearing my softest sweaters on repeat. I have a new favorite this season, this knit pullover from Aerie! Find a similar look here.

Favorite Beauty Product– Glossier Body Hero Exfoliating Bar

This bar soap is an old favorite that I’ve loved and have somehow since completely forgotten about. This soap has some of the best exfoliation that I’ve ever experienced in a body wash. It’s definitely a rougher scrub, but that’s what I look for in an exfoliant. Add in the soft, fresh scent and you’ve got my favorite soap at the moment!
