It’s Sundress Season

Happy May! It’s the greatest time of year. Winter is finally behind us, and I feel like a new version of myself (the true version of myself) is finally coming out of hibernation. There’s something so hopeful about spring–all the new growth, warmer weather, sunshine filled days. I’ve been soaking up every second. Also, this weather means it’s finally sundress season. All of my Pride and Prejudice/running through a field of flowers dreams are coming true. One dreamy sundress at a time.

One of my favorite things about dresses is that they are basically a one stop outfit. They’re so simple to style, and they make my laziest days look a little more refined.

Now that it’s May, I feel like summer dressing is fully on the table. The weather has consistently been in the high seventies or above, and I’m fully taking advantage of this early warm weather. Dresses, shorts, sandals, all of the above! I know in a few weeks I’m going to start missing my favorites jeans and layers, but for now, the warm weather is a welcome novelty.

Whenever a new season starts, I tend to go all out on the seasonal attire. There’s so much excitement around a change in the weather. Clothes that I haven’t seen in months feel like new finds, and my style inspiration feels replenished and abundant.

Well, normally. Today I was craving a summer look, but I also didn’t feel like putting in a lot of effort. Hence the dress. This dress is a well worn favorite from Urban Outfitters that manages to be a closet staple every summer. To give things a simple but classic vibe, I paired it with a pair of espadrilles and a classic baguette bag.

It’s not the most extravagant outfit, but it welcomes this warm weather just the same!
