It’s a Pink Pants Kind of Fall
If there’s any style “rule” I love to abide by, it’s to embrace the unexpected. I love adding a contrasting element to my outfits. It keeps things exciting and adds a level of visual interest to an otherwise ordinary look. Over the years I’ve experimented with adding unexpected pieces to my everyday outfits. This has looked like adding a bold color, a contrasting pattern, or an out of season item for a bit of creativity. I’m looking at you, riding boots in summer! While I feel like I’ve grown more comfortable and more confident in my style choices, styling pink pants for fall has still felt like an overwhelming challenge. At least until now. I feel like I’ve cracked the code on wearing pink pants past summer, and it’s feeling like a pink pants kind of fall.

Full disclosure, although this outfit looks effortless, it took me way too much time to pull it together. I kept getting stuck on the color of the jeans. It’s easy to style white jeans for fall. But pink jeans? That’s a completely different puzzle.
I don’t think that anything in my closet evokes the same amount of love and style confusion as this pair of pants. I’m obsessed with the fit, I just have such a hard time with the color. This spring, I finally found an outfit that I loved, but as the weather has started to cool, I’ve been in need of some fresh style inspiration.
For this look, I’m sticking to simplicity. The pants themselves are the statement, everything else functions as the supporting act.
I chose to pair these jeans with my favorite loafers and a classic black sweater. It’s a simple formula with a little added flair via the pale pink pant.
The more I wear these jeans, the more I fall in love with the peachy pink. It’s starting to feel like a pink pants kind of fall after all.
How do you feel about summer colors in the fall? Yay or Nay?
