Is it Fall Without an All Black Look?
I always feel like fall comes on slowly. That is, until all of a sudden, one day it’s here in all its glory. This week feels like one of those sudden seasonal shifts. The weather is still reaching the high 70s, but it’s the kind of weather that only feels warm if you stand in the direct sun. This means long sleeves but still sandals. It’s a balance! As I was planning today’s outfit, I couldn’t help but feel like styling an all black look is taking the easy way out. I mean, it’s one color, and hardly revolutionary. But then I remembered that simplicity is the theme of the season. And If I’m being completely honest, is it fall without an all black look?
The turtleneck is back for another look, this time with my favorite pair of Levi’s. I love a tucked in top with a wide leg jean. It gives off such an interesting shape, and I love the contrast between the fitted top and the wide leg.
We’re also still in that blissful in between stage where the weather is getting cooler, but you can still get away with a few summer favorites. Here I’ve paired my favorite summer mules with this otherwise fully fall outfit. It brings the right amount of tribute to the transitional season.
What could be simpler than a classic monochromatic look? I’ve styled a few monochromatic looks on my blog this year, and I still love the casual chicness one color brings.
After all, is it fall without an all black look?
