How to Style Cuffed Jeans
One of my favorite things about spring cleaning, aside from a newly organized space, is the opportunity to rediscover old closet favorites. I’m a creature of habit, and so often find myself reaching for the same pieces over and over. Conducting an in depth tour of my wardrobe is rare, but it always revives items that have taken a bit of a backseat. I’ve long struggled with how to style cuffed jeans, so they’ve taken up an almost permanent residence in the back of my closet. That is, until now. I’ve had a recent spark of inspiration and feel like I’ve finally cracked how to style cuffed jeans.

When I pulled out these jeans, I immediately knew I wanted to create a look that is chic, simple, and a little extra. As I do with all “risky” fashion pieces, I wanted to make sure that the jeans were paired with subtle accents so they’d take center stage. Hence the champagne blouse. The ruffle detailing adds just the right amount of fun to keep things interesting, and the silky material brings festivity.
I realize that a patent leather heel is not the most practical choice for an everyday shoe. However, it goes so well with the rest of the look that I couldn’t resist. In case I want to turn this outfit into more of a practical look, it works exceptionally well with a ballet flat and a leather jacket. Either way, the vibe feels subtle, but also extra. A perfect happy medium! Now I just have to decide if this is an all day outfit or an out-to-dinner outfit. Or maybe both!
I think it’s clear that this Friday has me feeling a little fancy. Silk top, patent heels kind of fancy. I always forget that you don’t need a special occasion to dress up. Sometimes a sunny Friday begs for a patent heel, and all you can do is obey!
