Capris are Becoming a Staple

Hello there, May! I feel like there is no better way to welcome a new month than with something fun and a little experimental. Naturally, the most fun and experimental piece in my closet right now is my pair of capris. Depending on how you feel about this particular pant, this might be exciting or this might be a nightmare. I understand both sides, because I was once a capris hater but, many months later, this quirky hemline has endeared itself to me forever. I’ve quickly realized that capris are becoming a staple in my wardrobe, and I’m not one bit sorry about it.

In the past, I’ve leaned on the vintage aspect of these pants. Taking inspiration from the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Brigitte Bardot. Today, I wanted to move in a different direction.

Today’s look is a more casual, updated take on the capri. An oversized vintage t-shirt and a baguette bag take this look on a 90s detour. At the same time, the ballet flats keep things a little classic. It’s the perfect meshing of old and new that makes capris so unique. You can take this funky style and twist it into whatever suits your fancy.

That’s what I love so much about a solid pair of denim. It functions as a blank canvas that can be built upon wherever your creativity leads.

I have to admit… this is one of my favorite outfits of the year so far. Another reason to love capris!
