April Favorites 2025

To me, May has always felt like the unofficial start of summer. Now that it’s here, to say I’m giddy would be an understatement! I feel like I’m in High School Musical 2, watching the clock, chanting, “summer, summer, summer!” And yet, I’d be remiss to ignore April completely. I am happy to see April in the rearview, but there was a lot to love in this rainy month. Here are my April Favorites for 2025.

Favorite Song- Sexy to Someone by Clairo

A few months ago, I picked Juna as my favorite song. But now, I’m all about Sexy to Someone. At this point, I think the entire Charm album is going to make it on my favorites list. There’s just something about Clairo’s breezy vocals that put me in the best mood.

Favorite Book- This Summer Will be Different by Carley Fortune

Another month, another summer themed novel. This book by Carley Fortune is full of all the best things– spectacular scenery, heartfelt writing, and complex characters. I could write about the scenery alone! I’ve long wanted to visit PEI, and reading this book had me seriously looking at tickets. For more on this book, check out my review!

Favorite Show/Movie- Hockey Playoffs

Sorry to be boring, but it’s playoff season! Hockey in the background while I read a book is honestly my idea of a perfect night.

Favorite Snack- Seaweed

This is an old childhood favorite that has followed me into adulthood. I don’t really know how to describe the flavor of dried seaweed, but it has a salty nostalgia that has me in a chokehold. I’ve been eating little snack packs of this all month long. My favorite flavors are teriyaki, and good old fashioned sea salt.

Favorite Closet Item- Nike Cortez
April Favorites 2025

I pulled these out of my closet recently, and I haven’t been able to take them off since. This classic shoe is fun, comfortable, and versatile enough to go with everything from jeans to dresses.

Favorite Beauty Product- Glossier Skin Tint

This is my absolute favorite barely-there foundation. I’m not even sure you can call it a foundation, it’s so sheer, but I love its super light coverage for everyday. It gives off such a natural dewiness. When patted into the skin, it looks just like skin– but better and more evenly toned. Magic! You can control how much coverage you get by playing around with the amount of product you use, and I’ve found it does light to medium coverage beautifully.
