April Favorites
I can’t believe that April is already over. It’s kind of shocking to me how quickly this year is going. And yet, as much as I want things to slow down just a little bit, I can’t say that I’m sad to see April go. Now that we’re entering May, we’re that much closer to summer! I’m already thinking about outdoor dining, sun dresses, and the occasional Aperol Spritz. It all sounds so dreamy! Anyway, before I skip ahead to May, here is everything that I’ve been loving in April.
favorite song- anything by thee sacred souls
This month, I’ve been listening to a lot of Thee Sacred Souls radio on Spotify. I especially love playing this while making dinner. Crack open the window to let in the fresh spring air, and the vibes are *chef’s kiss.* It makes me think of sun dresses, summer days, and time by the beach. Sigh.
favorite book- kingdom of ash by sarah j. maas
I’ve done it. I’ve finished Throne of Glass. This was my first time reading through the series so KoA was emotional to say the least. I feel like I’ve experienced every emotion possible while reading these books. Irritation, elation, devastation, Sarah J. Maas knows how to elicit them all. I have many thoughts on the ending of this series, but for the sake of avoiding spoilers, I’ll just say that I’m so glad I didn’t give up on these books after Throne of Glass. KoA was an epic ending to such a complex series, and I’ll be thinking about it for days to come.
favorite show/movie- hockey
To be completely honest, I haven’t been watching a lot of tv shows or movies this month. Kingdom of Ash was given priority. When I wasn’t reading, I was watching playoff hockey. Tis the season!
favorite snack/beverage- starbucks lavender cream oatmilk matcha
I love anything lavender. I love the color, the smell, the flavor. It’s got such a gentle and relaxing vibe and I can’t get enough. When Starbucks came out with their lavender drinks, I couldn’t wait to give them a taste test. While both are delicious, I think I love the matcha a little bit more. That lavender cream on top is divine. This is the perfect treat for those warm spring afternoons.
favorite closet item- levi’s wide leg jeans in black
I’ve been wearing my wide leg Levi’s on repeat so, naturally, I had to buy the same pair in black. I’ve been loving wearing these during the day with an oversized button down and Nike blazers, or on warmer nights, with mules and a fun top like pictured here.
favorite beauty product- elf halo glow
This is my favorite product for spring/summer makeup looks. I love the light coverage this gives my skin, and it functions as the perfect base for everyday wear. The glow is also unreal. I look like I’m perfectly hydrated and well rested every time I use this product. Even if that’s not exactly the case. Ha!
