An Easy Outfit Idea for a Rainy Day
I always find rainy days to be some of the hardest days for outfit styling. The gloomy weather seems to zap any motivation that I have to look presentable, and I find myself feeling and looking a little blah.
To fight the rainy day gloom, I decided to come up with one outfit that could have many different future iterations. That way, I’d have a rainy day outfit on hand ready to go for those days when I just don’t feel like putting top tier effort into my look.
This outfit features wet weather staples like sneakers, a light jacket, and a baseball cap to hide the frizzy hair. An easy, functional, classic look to help me out of those rainy day style slumps.
Rainy Day Outfit Essentials:
- Sneakers– Although not exactly waterproof, I always find myself reaching for sneakers on rainy days. Here I’m wearing Converse, but Nike Air Force 1s or Adidas Sambas are also good options.
- Cropped Denim– There’s nothing worse than soggy hemlines. You can change up the wash and the shape to create a slightly different look.
- Baseball Cap– An essential to keep the frizzy hair at bay.
- Light Jacket– I love throwing a light jacket over a solid color sweater or tshirt. This blazer could be swapped out with a denim jacket for a different monochromatic look.
