A Little Monday Minimalism
Mid July is usually that point in the season where I start to get tired of summer styling. I’ve already worn and reworn all of my “good” outfits, and the blazing heat has me living in the same t-shirts and denim cut-offs. With August and September still to go, I’m in desperate need of a little summer refresh. On days like these, I love to rely on neutral tones and simple lines. For this outfit, I’m sticking to an easy black and cream color scheme. It not only goes so well together, it also gives off a vibe that’s both casual and classic. Everything’s comfortable, easy to throw on, and decidedly pared back. A little Monday minimalism to cleanse the summer style palate.
The weather has blissfully dipped into the low-to-mid 80s, and I feel like I can finally breathe again! I never thought I’d think of 80 degree weather as “cool,” but this extreme summer heat has me grateful for any reprieve.
To celebrate, I pulled out a favorite pair of pants (don’t worry they’re light weight)! I wanted to keep things looking a little bit elevated, especially to offset the casual pant. A cropped knit vest and a pair of barely-there sandals do the trick. A little Monday minimalism to start the week off on a happy note. It’s also a nice reminder that summer styling is fun and doesn’t have to be so complicated.
