A Little Paisley for February
Every year, January feels like some kind of frigid time warp. Time moves slowly, and the 31 days feel like a lifetime. While I’m grateful for the time to get started on new routines, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t sad to see January go. It’s funny how quickly things shift. While January dragged by, we’re only 3 days in to February, and I already feel like 2025 is rolling full steam ahead. I’m just trying to hang on! Anyway, whenever I’m feeling stressed about something small like the fleetingness of time, I like to keep my outfits as simple and as joy inducing as possible. Hence the bright jacket. It’s a colorful coat that brings a little paisley to February to start off this month on a high.

The paisley print coat certainly draws attention, but to me, the cowboy booties are the star of the show. Paring these shoes with a cropped pant feels like a risky endeavor. I normally wear these with a full length jean to give off the illusion of a full length cowboy boot. However, I woke up this morning and thought, “what if,” and I’m pleased to report that I don’t hate it… I maybe even love it? As the year goes on, we’ll see if this turns into an outfit staple or a style regret.
This outfit has certainly done the job of curing me of my mid winter blues. A paisley print coat and a pair of cowboy booties will do that for you.
This is my take on a subtle Valentine’s Day outfit. It’s not exactly pink, but it’s pink adjacent, which seems to do the job just fine!
