A Little Ballet Pump Moment
Another day, another monochromatic look. This time, the all white look is featuring a gentle pop of color vis a vis the blue suede shoe. So I’ve been watching the olympics this month like a fiend. I seriously cannot get enough of these summer games. Naturally, I’ve once again been enchanted by all of the beautiful French scenery. I mean, beach volleyball in front of the Eiffel Tower? Unreal! Anyway, watching the Paris games has left me feeling inspired to dress with a little French flair. In my style research, I’ve noticed that French women love a ballet pump. Thankfully, I already own a pair and could easily add them to an otherwise boring all white look. What was once a basic all white outfit has been saved by a little ballet pump moment!
This feels like an updated version of something I’d wear in high school. I loved a neutral look with a dramatic pop of color. This outfit maintains that fun, unexpected vibe, but in a slightly more sophisticated way. In high school, my pop of color was usually some shade of neon. It’s safe to say that those outfits were never lacking drama. However, these days I’ve decided to use a much more muted color palette. The blue suede ballet pumps bring just the right amount of color to this all white look. It’s the same vibe, but a more sophisticated take.
I’m loving this little ballet pump moment. It makes me feel summery, chic, and a little French!
