A Beret Look for Fall
One of my favorite things about colder weather is the ability to wear hats. Particularly, berets. Hats add so much dimension to an outfit while also keeping you feeling warm and toasty. In the fall/winter months they’re equally functional and stylish, and I simply can’t get enough. To lean in to these October temperatures, I’ve created a beret look for fall featuring my favorite animal print hat.
I feel like we’ve come to a point in fashion where animal print is an acceptable neutral. At least, I’m wearing it like one. My favorite outfits featuring this print always include denim, leather, and a little pop of red.
This outfit contains all three of those favorites for a combo that feels so casually chic. At its core it’s jeans and a t-shirt. However, the accessories bring it to a whole new level. I wanted to keep things a little on the warmer side, so I added my favorite leather jacket and a pair of penny loafers. To break up the neutral color palette, I threw on a red lip for a spot of brightness.
I can’t say enough about the animal print. I’m obsessed. Although I view this pattern as a neutral, I still wanted to create a look that allowed it to make a statement. Hence the leather and denim backdrop. It blends beautifully with the jeans and the jacket, but it also adds the perfect amount of fun to keep things interesting. It’s a beret look for fall that has me feeling all the seasonal vibes.
