Currently on My TBR
I have to admit, I currently have a pretty extensive TBR. I’m one of those people that acquires new books before I’ve read everything at home, and before I know it the pile has grown to embarrassing heights. Ideally, I’d be intentional about reading through the TBR list. Alas, I’m not sure that’s wholly realistic. Anyway, there are a few books from the stack that I’m especially excited about reading and that will hopefully shrink my stack of unread books.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
I finished Queen of Shadows last month and it’s safe to say that I’m in love with this series. If you would’ve told me when I was reading book one that I’d be anxiously awaiting my reserved library copies of books 5 and 6, I’d think you’re crazy. I guess that just speaks to Sarah J. Maas’ story telling. The internet has advised me to tandem read this one with Tower of Dawn so, that’s where I’ll be for the next couple of weeks!
Riptide by Lisa T. Bergren
The River of Time series by Lisa T. Bergren is one of my favorite YA series of all time. Not to be overly dramatic, but reading this in high school felt like a life changing experience. Riptide is book two in a spin off of the River of Time that follows the second generation of the Forelli-Betarrini clan. I read the first one in this new series when it came out last summer, and it was such a wonderful nostalgia trip! I can’t wait to see where this next story takes my favorite characters!
Only and Forever by Chloe Liese
I’ve read a few books in the Bergman Brothers series by Chloe Liese, and I’ve found each one to be a sweet, funny, feel-good rom-com. Each book follows the love story of a different Bergman sibling as they find their own happy ending. Only and Forever just came out this past Tuesday, and it was immediately added to my list of must read books. I love Liese’s writing style and how she crafts her characters, and I can’t wait to see how Viggo’s love story unfolds.
Dungeons and Drama by Kristy Boyce
This one initially got me with the cover art, and once I read the synopsis, I had to add it to my list. It looks like such a sweet story of fake dating and first love between a theater lover and a board games enthusiast. I think I was drawn to this because it felt like a sweet story with a realistic representation of teenage-hood. When I read it, I’ll let you know if that’s the case!
What books are you looking forward to reading?
