ICarly will NOT be cancelled

“Surprisingly, I still get questions from fans asking, “Has iCarly been canceled?” The answer…
NOOOO!!! iCarly has NOT been canceled!!!
iCarly is going stronger than ever. If you look a graph of iCarly’s ratings from the day the show premiered through today, it’s a straight climb upwards. iCarly hasn’t even peaked yet. The show keeps getting more popular, not only in America, but in many other countries, too.
How many more seasons of iCarly will there be?
The word “season” can get confusing. It used to be clearer, back in the day. Now, the term has become a bit vague. So, let’s look at it this way…
I’ve made 70 episodes of iCarly. I’m pretty sure that 63 have already aired. There are 7 new episodes (one of them a one-hour special) that you haven’t seen yet.
Currently, I’ve been asked by the network to make at least 26 more episodes. And there could be more after that!
As far as I’m concerned, as long as the fans want more episodes of iCarly, and as long as the cast wants to keep making them, I’ll keep writing and producing them. “

Important Message From Dan!
There’s some pretty big iCarly news. To casual fans, it may not be a huge deal. But to the fans who are really into the show, this is kinda major.
It’s about iSaved Your Life, which premiered a couple of weeks ago. Not only was it the most watched episode of iCarly ever… it was the most watched half-hour of anything ever in the history of Nickelodeon (with kids 9-14).
Now here comes the fun part…
When I was given the first cut of iSaved Your Life (by the editor), it was almost seven minutes too long. That’s really long. Usually, the first cuts are 1 or 2 minutes long – and then I edit out parts in order to get the show “to time” (the proper length for broadcast).
Cutting SEVEN MINUTES out of an episode is really hard, because I’m deleting almost a third of an episode. But that’s what I had to do with iSaved Your Life.
Well, after we were all shocked at the enormous ratings, I called the network and said, “Hey, why don’t we air the ORIGINAL, UN-CUT, FULL VERSION of iSaved Your Life, so the audience can see the WHOLE episode, as it was meant to be seen?”
I felt that, since the fans gave the episode such incredible support, they deserved to see the whole thing.
AND NOW… THAT’S WHAT’S HAPPENING.
I spent much of this past week back in the editing room, restoring the seven deleted minutes of iSaved Your Life. And it’s going to air (I think) this coming Friday night, February 12th at 8:00 PM. It will be a “one weekend only” event.
I had so much fun putting the episode back together, the way it was intended. And most importantly, it’s a better show with the extra footage.
That’s the news. If you think you’ve seen iSaved Your Life, you really haven’t. But now you will!
And yes, I will post Fun FACTS about the new, full version.
Your Pal,
–Dan
